The Theory of Intelligence

(I don't think I've ever heard the concept explained any better than this )

"Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . .
A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest  buffalo.
And when the heard is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.
This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole,
because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.
Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells.
But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.
In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells,
making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Did you know that negative thought patterns may well be holding you back from achieving all you would wish to achieve, and that you may not even be aware that you are thinking negatively some of the time?

You can improve your life beyond all recognition by stopping negative thinking now - once and for all!
Negative thinking can make all sorts of things incredibly difficult. It is like a leak in your confidence bucket - constantly drip-drip-dripping away your confidence and self esteem.
We all know that we should think more positively, or avoid too many negative thoughts, but it is notoriously difficult to stop. If allowed to, negative thoughts will sabotage your self belief, your confidence and your achievements. Life could be so much better for many people, if they would just spot their negative thinking habits and replace them with positive ones. Negative thinking, in all its many-splendored forms, has a way of creeping into conversations and our thinking without our noticing it.

"The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful." says the Dalai Lama. Wise words indeed.

But how do we go about achieving this? Happily, help is at hand in the form of a new video-ebook entitled "Mind Weapons: Overcoming Negative Thinking & Bad Habits".
As a subscriber to the Pathway to Prosperity eCourse and Newsletter we would like to invite you to download this life-changing ebook f-r-e-e of charge.
It will teach you powerful techniques to help you overcome negative thinking and destructive thought patterns forever.

Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy

It's so true that now we have so many conditions to live life intensily, to get knowledge, information, to meet people and share experiences, help and ideas... we loose less time (or should do so) to get what we need (and what we don't really need)...

.... and what happens?
WE COMPLAIN,
WE KEEP OURSELVES HIDDEN behind a computer,
AND WE FEEL LONELY and UNHAPPY!!!!!!!!!

What is missing now that we have almost everything?

5 Mind Blocks - Are They Blocking Your Self Esteem?

The issue of self-esteem is perhaps one of the greatest determinates in creating a life of freedom and abundance, or feeling inhibited and “just getting by“.

Self-esteem is defined as “a feeling of pride in oneself“. It is how you feel in relation to yourself rather than how others see you.

It’s between you and, well… you.

Therefore, it’s not necessary to be so concerned about what others think to determine your level of self -esteem, as the definition does not include any “others“, just you.

So where can you help yourself to better understand you? There are so many aspects of you but one that is of great importance is that of your mind.

In the ancient wisdom of Patanjali‘s Yoga Sutras, there are five hindrances or afflictions of the mind that are collectively known as the klesas. An understanding of each of these hindrances can help play a part in the discovery of self, leading to a feeling of well-being, connectivity , and greater self-esteem.

The hindrances are as follows:

IGNORANCE

The first hindrance is ignorance of the true self which is the building block for all of the other afflictions. It can be described as an incorrect understanding of oneself that is the culmination of years of unconscious actions, thoughts, and words that one has become dependent upon as part of one’s being. Sound familiar? How many times have we replayed old tapes over and over in our head until they become so embedded in our persona that we begin to self-realize these false beliefs? From ignorance, derives judgments of oneself and of others. By understanding the various afflictions and where they originate, one may transcend a lifetime absorbed in ignorance.

EGOISM

The second hindrance is egoism which is the identification of the self with what one is not- the body, mind, personality, emotions, senses, accomplishments, failures, and possessions, or lack thereof. You may be thinking, “People with low self-esteem are certainly not showing an ego problem.” Well, it actually is an ego problem, as the concern over what others think dominates many choices and actions in daily life. In egoism, the practice of remaining in the moment and being a non-judgmental witness comes in handy. In truly observing what is happening in life as it is, rather than placing violent judgments on self, others and situations, one may experience life with a limited ignorance. Imagine viewing the world through a camera lens and just seeing what is -- nothing else.

ATTACHMENT

The third hindrance is attachment which arises from the ego’s idea that more is better and of the fear of losing what one already has in his/her possession. Are you keeping up with the Jones’? Do you really need to be? More stuff just means more upkeep; right? As one progresses on the life path, experiences occur that cause feelings of great pleasure. One may cling to these things in hopes of experiencing the feelings over and over again. Attachment is looking outside of oneself for validation and bliss. The reality is that external factors come and go; it is the internal true self that remains a constant. “Happiness is found within“, is a timeless phrase and it is unconditional and independent of any outside circumstances or people. Freeing, isn’t it?

AVERSION

The fourth hindrance is aversion which is also a form of attachment, but in the negative sense. The experiences or circumstances that one does not want to have, or is repulsed by, comprise aversions. Aversions are typically based on fear of the unknown, unfamiliar, or years of subconscious mechanical thought. Fear plays a big role in issues of low self-esteem. Attachments and aversions are both relative in that what is a good/bad experience or feeling for one may not be so good/bad for another. Any attachment or aversion springs from the imagination and can be construed as clinging, and therefore, in turn, suffering. By practicing detachment to either aversions or attachments, one can see a situation for what it is rather than what it is perceived to be.

CLINGING TO LIFE (THE FEAR OF DEATH)

Clinging to life or the fear of death is the final hindrance. It is self-preservation and the fundamental will to live in one’s body on this Earth. This affliction is said to be experienced even by the very wise. It is ultimately the understanding of this affliction that will set us free. Each individual would come to terms with this hindrance by their own accord in relation to their own belief system regarding death and what happens when we leave our physical body. It is my sense that we are eternal in spirit.

The klesas are complex and interwoven. By increasing the understanding of each affliction, one may begin to identify them when they surface in life. In knowing where the reaction, situation, or behavior is derived, the individual may be better able to experience the true sense of the moment in awareness and without judgment. By remaining open, one is able to receive the perfection in every moment.

It is a daily process to connect with oneself in understanding, but one that can create a life that is, for the most part, joyous, peaceful, and full of love. With practice the sense of self-esteem will continuously improve and the feelings of a life connectedness will deepen. Try it for yourself as this all begins and ends with you. For, it’s what you think that really matters.

“The mind is everything; what you think, you become.” (Buddha)

What Do You Believe?

If you observe how people govern — or fail to govern — their lives, it turns out that we all register on various points along the scale, starting with free will and self-determination on one end and ranging to no free will and ruled by God or some other higher power on the other end.

Everybody claims to know his or her own place on the free will continuum. This is really interesting as it demonstrates somehow that either most of us simply don't know how much free will we exercise, or that there is simply no basic rule applicable.

Exercising free will means that your decision is not based on any circumstances or influences from the past or future. Nor is your free will based on moral issues — and absolutely not on personal preferences.

When you closely examine your decisions you will soon see that they are indeed based mostly on existing facts and personal preferences. So how much free will do you really exercise?

What if you follow your intuition or go with your gut feeling? Are these based on free will? Where does intuition come from? Where does your gut feeling come from? You can see that the limits of free blur rather quickly when compared to most non-rational processes.

Your level of free will is determined by the state of your consciousness.

When you base a decision on intuition, you are really exercising free will because you are giving a certain higher level or your consciousness the power to rule. Intuition is free from any indoctrination brought about by pat forms of beliefs and concepts.

That's why success in life has a lot to do with your spiritual path. True success is far beyond what most of society focuses on.

Don't let yourself be pushed into a box by shortsighted claims that money and beauty are all there are to success.

Success in your life is not dependent on how much money you have, where you live or if you are in a relationship.

Success is not feeling happy; it is feeling happy about who you are.

HEART VS. HEAD -- THE POWER OF EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS

Because there is more power in our feelings than in our thoughts, our heart and emotional body have a bigger role to play in healing and than our mind.

An essential step in our healing process is to recognize the extent to which we have been conditioned to believe we are powerless.

When we are diagnosed with a disease, we often feel victimized, betrayed and powerless.
We trust the medical authorities more than our ability to heal ourselves.

Healing involves using our emotional body and our neutral mind to experience the infinite space where healing is possible.
Our healing is facilitated by feeling the outcome we desire in our body.
We must avoid thinking (linear analysis) about how healing might occur.
We must learn to work with the faculty of feeling, not just the faculty of thought.

Physical matter and emotional energy respond when we 'speak' their language.

LINEAR THINKING VS. NON-LINEAR FEELING

When we think about creating something in our physical world, we usually think in a linear, step-by-step, logical manner.
We proceed through a sequential process to work toward our goal.
We are trained to think in this linear fashion, which is appropriate for physical manifestation.
But when we use spiritual, nonphysical energy, we work in a different manner.

We have to train ourselves to FEEL the quality of the outcome that we desire - peace, health, abundance.
We have to generate within ourselves the FEELING of the outcome.

[1] TRUST AND RESPONSIBILITY

Healing is facilitated by trust and taking responsibility for being co-creators in our lives.
Current literature on manifestation asks us to experience what we want 'as though it has already happened,' that it already exists in our lives.
And this is where most of us get hung up. Because it has not already happened, we can't lie to ourselves.

What is required is to live in TRUST that other possibilities are available.
Authentic trust has a very magnetic feeling.
Wishing, hoping, pleading on the other hand vibrate at a lower frequency.
And if accompanied by any form of fear can actually repel instead of attract.
LOVING, TRUSTING FEELINGS line up our magnetic field with the universal magnetic field and become triggers to create what may appear as miracles and miraculous healings.

The tricky part is that we can't fake our feelings.
We sabotage ourselves if we are driven by conscious or unconscious beliefs of being passive observers or victims.
We have to take RESPONSIBILITY and act from the stance of being co-creators.
When we doubt and succumb to a victim mentality, our feelings do not align with healing.
When we do not trust our body, our soul or the universe, healing usually does not happen.

[2] NON JUDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE

Healing requires non-judgment about our current situation and acceptance of what has happened.
Healing requires overcoming our need to judge our current and past situations.
This does not mean that we like or condone what has happened. Most likely we won't! If we liked what was happening, we wouldn't want to change it.
We only acknowledge that it has happened. We don't judge an illness or a situation as bad or unfortunate.

Judgment creates a wall between our current situation and other possible realities.
Judgment stands in the way of healing.
This is because judgment vibrates at a lower frequency than the field of infinite possibilities.
Acknowledgement opens the door to new possibilities. Acceptance is a form of love, which vibrates in sync with the field of infinite possibilities.

[3] GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION FOR THE PAST AND NEW POSSIBILITIES

Healing also requires FEELING gratitude and appreciation for the past and for the availability of other possibilities.
It is key to recognize that we are not requesting or praying for something that we don't have.
If we acknowledge the absence of something, we affirm that something is missing and give energy to what which we wish to change.

We simply relax into our body, let go for a moment and feel what it feels like to be healthy, to have more energy, to be more prosperous, or to be in another situation.
We use all our senses and feel as many sensations as we can in our body.
We bless our current situation for awakening us up to new possibilities.
We thank our current lessons for moving us forward on our journey to self-discovery and self-love.
We express gratitude and appreciation for the sweet, healthy, loving moments in our lives.
In doing so, we fan the embers of health, prosperity and love so that they can be rekindled and alive in us.

Become Wealthy By Following These 5 Lessons

If you follow the 5 lessons below, your life will change and you will become wealthy. These lessons are very simple; however, they require your commitment and a change in how you presently deal with money. It requires a change in your current model of thought.

Lesson 1: Decide To Be Wealthy

Make a decision today to be wealthy. Write down this goal, and either pin it on your board or carry the paper with you at all times. Take a look at your goal every day: Today I decide to be wealthy. Your conscious decision to make a choice is the beginning of all your journeys. The moment you make a decision your consciousness will automatically start working on the solution to create that reality.

Lesson 2: Take Responsibility For Your Money

If you don't control your money, your money will control you! Controlling your money simply means that you need to know how much money you have, where you spend it and where it comes from. Take a piece of paper and write these three items down as precisely as possible. Make this list as detailed as you can. Get a feeling of what your money is doing. The entire point of this exercise is to make your money work for you (you control your money)—and not the opposite (your money controls you).

Lesson3: Keep A Portion of Everything You Earn

Wealthy people pay themselves first, and then pay the bills! From time to time you hear stories about celebrities going bankrupt or having to wait tables. What happened? They obviously never saved a portion of their income and put it aside. If they had, they would still be wealthy.
Take at least 10% of your income every month and put it aside. Never ever touch this money for anything other than for investment purposed to make this money work for you. Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Lesson 4: Win In The Margins

Always strive to improve your income and watch your costs. Reduce the money you spend. Do you really need that electric sock dispenser? Drive a more economical car and move into a smaller house with less expensive rent or mortgage. Replace the common belief that consuming for its own sake is a necessary part of your life with something that is more balanced. Accumulating possessions will not make you happy! More stuff reduces your free attention, and you’ll have less attention left to focus on building your wealth.

Lesson 5: Give back

Would you like to live in a society where everybody has more than enough, where everybody is mostly focused on helping and supporting others? I bet you do. If everybody focuses only on themselves, our society would soon starve to death and be split into winners and losers. If everybody focuses on giving back and on contributing to a better society, we would all have more than enough happiness. Peace and abundance would be the common ground.

Understand that we are not truly separate from one another; we are all depend on each other. The very things we all need the most—like fresh air, healthy food and loving hearts—are the things we most depend on others. The more we understand that this is a cooperative process and not an individual, separate one, the more we will reap the benefits from it.
Sharing your wealth and time is love made visible.

Do you believe in miracles?

The difference between what we call a natural process and what we call a miracle is largerly a matter of the time required to reach the desired end.

The first Ford car required months of grueling labor to build; today the Ford plants can make about five and one half cars a minute - or one  about every ten senconds. Is that a miracle?

To experience miracles you must optimize the time to achieve your goals by recognising the "natural" laws  that will work in the process and  learning how to use them properly.

Mr. Ford never would have made a car if he had started with no knowledge of the law. But he began by using what he had - things he had been told or had read.

Now... think... what do you want to achieve in your life?
What natural laws are involved?
What have you been doing to know them better?

Just a small tip:
See less TV, read more books about energy, self-improvement;
practice meditation or any exercises that improves your self-knowledge and nature/universe laws.
Get to know you better.
Get to know what you really want.
And go for it.
Unless you think you are here to live as a vegetable or a commanded robot...

To think

Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.

Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.

Just walk beside me and be my friend.

Loss

I was hearing the news today, and they were talking about a case where a mother lost 3 kids. A very sad and painful experience.

A doctor was interviewed to explain how a person can overcome the pain.

And I felt that would be an interesting view to share with you!

He said that, when love capacity is drastically broken by the absence of a beloved one, the only cure would be REPLACEMENT!

Replace the love object by other interests, and redirect the love that is now inside you with no direction or utillity.

Some prefer religion. Others prefer drugs.

The healthier would be charity, voluntee work or causes that help other people.

The severe pain is never forgotten. Other pains are transformed into bad memories... like loosing a boyfriend.

But the suffering can always be reliesed by giving your love to others.
Pain is unavoiable. Suffering is optional!

I believe in miracles (The story of my life since AUGUST 2005)

Hi dear friends...

Sorry for the days of absence LATELY... but I have good excuses for that!

I'm in state of grace.
It's so fantastic to see how our prays are so magically answered.

Some of you have been sending me your love and support as my life changed drastically since AUGUST last year.

My husband asked for a divorce and I needed to leave his house, my daughter was detected a hipophisis cancer and was unhapply living with her boyfriend, my sister had no job, my mother had a heart attack due to financial problems on her company, my job was causing me nauseas due to unfair attitudes from my boss and colleagues and I faced more than 3 months of breathing problems.

(I don't believe in religion, so I hv no mentor to talk, but GOD. My family - mother, brother and sister - lives in Brazil, far away from me. I could not talk to them as they also had so many problems to deal with. I had no husband anymore and could not talk to my daughter either. It was a solitaire time... sometimes broken by some friends words from UK, PT, DK ).

I used to meditate and pray... so may times watered by many tears, and the answer I had was only "WAIT".

And I did so. I waited. Patiently.
I did nothing but pray and meditate for 4 months, refusing myself to doubt a better time was almost in.

Here is what happened:

1. The first good and totally fantastic news was that my daughter was not sick ANYMORE. The cancer that had appeared on TACs' photos before, simply vanished.

2. I became all out of money, but I could help my mother going through her debts... and she's now reliefed. She also recovered from her heart attack, after spending 1 month in hospital and adding a stent.

3. My sister - who is a lawyer - had done a application for a job a long time ago and was called on February. She's now a judge and earns a very good salary.

4. End of March I hv moved to a new and beaultiful flat, with my son, daughter and grandson. I rented it for a very good amount from a friend.

5. I´m also changing to a new and better job soon. I quit the bad job, with a good agreement they offered me. I will have some rest before embracing a new chalenge.

6. I have met a charming prince who is also a best friend... he had helped me in all ways

7. I have paid all my debts by now and Istill hv some money on my bank account.

I'm very very happy with all the miracles that are happening on my life, but I confess it has been a hard time to manage all that!

I feel tired but in joy.
I still have so much to do, but I'm so empowered by that divine energy taking care of my life!

I'll be back more often now.
Thanks for not forgetting me.

Heart kisses

You do't need to tell God how big your problems are.
Just tell your problems how big is your God!
